CUNA, the Credit Union National Association, is being used as the subject of a phishing message targeting credit union members to collect personal account information, plastic card numbers, and passwords. CUNA is warning people who receive the e-mail not to click on the link to the fake web page, just delete the message.

This new phishing-scam attempt informs recipients about "irregular check card activity" and advises them to call a toll-free number to get any restrictions removed. Do not call the toll-free number. The call is a ploy to get personal account information, possibly for identity theft purposes.

As a trade association for U.S. credit unions, CUNA does not maintain any type of individual customer/member financial information. Anyone receiving any e-mails of this type should contact the credit union directly.

A credit union representative will be in the cafeteria from 11:30 p.m. to
2:30 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month You may drop by to pick up forms, open a new account, ask questions, make suggestions, etc. We want to make a personalized effort to service your financial needs.
